Teachers - COGE

The Certificate of Gifted Education is a program designed to equip teachers and school administrators to respond to the academic and social needs of gifted and talented students. The Certificate trains educators in the skills needed to identify intellectually gifted students and to design appropriate curricula and programs. Running over three sessions in the school vacations, the program is led by Professor Miraca Gross and a team of experts in gifted education from Australia, the United States and Canada.

This coming June, GERRIC is offering mid-year places in COGE Online. You can study Strands 1 and 2 online in June – July, come to the UNSW campus for face-to-face participation for Strands 3 and 4 in the week of October 5th – 9th and complete Strand 5 online in the first few weeks of February 2010.

Due to the shorter time frame for the mid-year intake, GERRIC has altered the timing of the course assignments requirements. Rather than completing five assignments over 18-month period, mid-year intake participants will complete four assignments over 12 months, with the Strand 1 and 2’s assignment combined into one longer assignment.

To be part of this special mid-year intake for COGE Online, please click here to download the brochure and registration form, complete the form and return it to us as soon as possible as places are limited.
